The average 4 people home with a force-driven gas geyser will consume about 48 kg’s of gas in the winter and 19 kg’s of gas in the summer with a 5-10 minute shower.

If you have a natural draft gas geyser you can expect higher consumption if the unit’s settings are not optimized to efficiently use gas. The optimal operation of the geyser is to have the flow set to minimum and flame height set to its minimum as well (to the temperature you desire). This is the most efficient the unit will be, the idea is to set the temperature of the shower at the gas geyser and not add cold water to the hot water you have just heated up, therefore saving gas.

We recommend fan force driven gas geysers, as they will give you hot water at the temperature you specify on your controller so you do not have to add any cold water. This feature makes them very efficient in gas consumption as the unit only heats up the water to the set temperature and not more, it is also a very convenient feature.
